The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is issuing new maps of the country today showing where radon levels are high. It is thought that radon levels are higher than when the previous maps were issued in 2002.
Not only does radon affect the home, it is also a hazard in the workplace. Employers will need to assess if radon is present in the workplace and if it is, what the level of risk of exposure is and implement necessary control measures to try and reduce the risk so far as is reasonably practicable.
